K-Bowl

$19

* Estimated Delivery Mar 29 - Apr 04

Product Description

  • The K-Bowl has been designed to help players and coaches improve their understanding of what the ball is doing in the air after it is released from the bowlers’ hand
  • K-Bowl helps coaches see exactly how the ball is being released from the hand
  • K-Bowl cannot be bowled incorrectly
  • If incorrectly released it won’t travel through the air correctly or bounce of the wicket correctly
  • Crucially K-Bowl provides instant visual feedback as to:
    • The direction of the seam as it travels through the air
    • The axis of rotation of the ball
    • The plane/tilt of the ball
  • K-Bowl may bounce unpredictably due to its unique shape. Therefore it should not be bowled at any person
  • K-Bowl is intended as a bowlers training tool only
  • No liability will be accepted for any injury caused through use of K-Bowl contrary to these instructions

Swing bowling

  • When bowling the K-Bowl, if released correctly, due to it’s physical shape, it will retain its disc shape throughout its path in the air. Additionally, it will be clearly visible what its angle of trajectory, rotation, direction of spin and axis of rotation is.
  • The Grip: The grip on the K-Bowl should be exactly the same as used for a normal ball. Hold the ball well out of the palm with the seam running vertically.

Orthodox & Leg spin bowling

  • When bowling the K-Bowl, if spin is imparted on the ball correctly, due to its physical shape, it will retain its disc shape throughout its path in the air. Additionally, it will be clearly visible what its angle of trajectory, rotation, direction of spin and axis of rotation is.
  • The Grip: The grip used on the K-Bowl should be exactly the same used for a normal ball.
The orthodox grip for the off spinner is a two finger grip, with the first two joints of the index and middle fingers spread widely on the seam. Ideally the thumb should not apply any pressure onto the ball. Spin is imparted primarily through the index finger.
  • Leg Spin bowling Grip: The orthodox grip is two fingers up and two down, with the split between the second and third fingers, which are spread across the seam. The top joints of the index and second finger lie across the seam, the third finger is bent and along the seam. The thumb rests on the ball and does not do anything
