This plastic outer layer is present to help spread the force of an impact when players are facing higher ball speeds
For those that find it uncomfortable wearing a rigid forearm guard, the Hybrid Sweatband offers a level of protection
Due to the high impact D3O foam (encased within the sweatband) if struck, whilst still allowing you to mop your brow with it during that prolonged innings
They are machine washable at 30 degrees
